ABOUT US.
OUR STORY.
Surf Coast Morocco is a Surf & Yoga Guesthouse / Surf School based in Taghazout, Morocco, offering weekly surf & yoga vacations including surf coaching, yoga classes and homemade moroccan fusion kitchen.
It was founded in 2016 by Julia and Reda - out of passion for hospitality and to bring guests from all over the world closer to the slow living & surfer lifestyle and an authentic moroccan experience.
They got real lucky back then when discovering the small place right by the beach. What was once a small 1-floor apartment was rebuilt and extended step by step into todays 3-floor surf house with stunning view from the rooftop terraces.
Creating a beautiful, cosy space with a soul and a personal touch, where guests can feel grounded and at home and connect over surf and yoga is what keeps them motivated every day.
Let's make memories together...
OUR ETHOS.
The hotel industry doesn't always have to be stiff, impersonal and
focused on luxurious accommodation.
A guesthouse can also be a place
to meet and really connect with other people,
to build relationships for a few days or a life-time,
where you can find inspiration and be emotionally touched,
a place to overcome prejudices of other cultures
so we can all make the world a better place.
Especially Taghazout is a place to unwind and let the slow lifestyle have an impact on you. A place for daydreaming and plan making.
Every guesthouse is always the very own interpretation of culture, landscape and hospitality by the people that create it and work there. So let us show you Morocco through our eyes and discover it with all your senses.

SUSTAINABILITY.
We are not perfect but try to minimize our environmental impact as much as we can and are always open for feedback on how to do things better. So what do we do?
All the vegetables that are used in our kitchen are bought on the weekly farmers market in the nearby village or from the small shops in town. Our surfcamp menu is - like the Moroccan cuisine - full of fresh and seasonal vegetarian dishes to offer a healthy and balanced diet and to use meat and other animal products in moderation.
Towels are changed on request rather than refreshing them automatically every day.
We try to repair our surf equipment as much as possible, rather than just replacing surfboards and wetsuits every season.
A part of our furniture in the guesthouse is sourced from local second-hand markets and are being restored by us, rather than buying only newly made pieces.
Only recently a few of our rooms got a new look. The walls were covered with tadelakt (a limestone plaster), which is a very sustainable material as it lasts for years and gives the room a healthy indoor climate.
